About Us

                 Dana King-Butler

I have worked in the field of social work for over 15 years.  I am a licensed clinical Practitioner in the Commonwealth of PA., and have always worked with children and families.  I am married and have 2 young children.

I have always been considered a valuable and competent asset in my educational experiences and employment opportunities.  So...who would have thought that I would have a hard time adjusting to motherhood, or better yet, would have suffered from Postpartum Depression.

However, I did suffer from severe Postpartum Depression.  I also survived Postpartum Depression, and you can too!  I received Professional help from the Postpartum Stress Center, founded by Karen Kleiman.  I received tremendous help and support from my husband, parents, and siblings.

Upon my recovery, I decided that my niche' in providing therapeutic intervention would be in helping other women and families heal from any pregnancy related mood disorders.  I received education and training, to include training with Karen Kleiman of the Postpartum Stress Center, on Pregnancy-related mood disorders.  Postpartum Support International also served as a fantastic source of information.  As a result, I enthusiastically founded Rays of Hope.

I look forward to serving you, as you too survive Postpartum Depression!

I also work with Building Bridges, a consortium of Healthcare Professionals, who serve the community in a variety of ways.

                 Charles Butler Jr.

I am Charles Butler.  I am married to Dana King-Butler and the proud father of our 2 young children. Postpartum Depression took us by surprise!  She did not experience it after the birth of our 1st child, but our second.  I was clueless.  However, with formal and informal supports, we did get through it.  My part in Rays of Hope is to serve as a Coach, primarily to the partners, and husbands of the women who are suffering from Postpartum Depression.

I look forward to serving you!
